Coming soon to Penrith!

Here at Visit Penrith, we like to keep on top of what’s coming to our city so that we can keep you updated and ensure you have the best experience when you visit! So, we’ve decided to give you a sneak peek of what’s to come in 2021.

Check out these new restaurants coming soon...

The Birdhouse Kitchen and Cafe - Now open!

TheBirdhouse BlogThe golden bird is coming to Penrith soon they say! This new kitchen and café have popped up on our radar but has been keeping its location top secret. However, we have a sneaky suspicion they’ll be located at the top end of High Street. Their socials have been teasing us with dreamy pictures of their soon to be menu, including seafood platters, savoury treats, dry-aged Angus and more! We can’t wait to see what’s next.

El Gringos Locos- Now open!

Hola amigos! There’s a new Mexican restaurant coming to Penrith this March! From Tacos to margaritas and everything Mexican in-between, El Gringos Locos should be at the top of your list of places to dine in Penrith. Did we mention they have cocktails served in fishbowls? Take a sneak peek of the restaurant and keep up to date with opening details here

Elton Chong - Now open!

An old restaurant on High Street is going to quickly become one of Penrith’s new hot spots, with Elton Chong, a new arcade bar coming soon! The trio behind this new venture are no strangers to Penrith as they are the team who brought us the popular Mr Watkins bar, also on High Street. The vision for Elton Chong is a bar and restaurant where you can get your hands on awesome food and drinks, with an Asian twist – we can’t wait!

The Orchard Penrith

The Orchard Penrith is also one that we are super excited about! Situated by the Nepean River, this waterfront venue will boast an artisan bakery, dining and restaurant pavilion, weekend farmers markets, a large playground, a florist, fish and chip store and a woodfire pizzeria. We also hear there might be a space where the kids can meet farm animals! Check out their teaser video here.
