Choirs across Penrith will be belting out Christmas classics this month and we know where to find them.
Nothing says Christmas like the joyous strains of known and loved carols sung together with friends and family by candlelight. If you love your Christmas Carols, there’s some great free community events to attend throughout December. Here’s our pick of the best:
Penrith City Carols 8 December 6-10pm
The annual Penrith City Carols event is held at Penrith Paceway and brings local families together to celebrate Christmas and support local charities. Pack a picnic, warm up your vocal chords and be part of the fun. The event begins at 6pm with fireworks to start at 9pm.
Emu Plains Community Christmas Carols 8 December 5-8pm
Head to Emu Plains Community Centre for some free family fun, activities, delicious food and all your favourite Christmas carols hosted by the Emu Plains Community Baptist Church. There’s also Christmas craft and activities, a photo booth, face painting; kids entertainment and sausage sizzle to enjoy. Carols kick off at 7pm.
Penrith Christmas Concert 14 - 15 December
A fun Christmas concert for the whole family to enjoy hosted by the Imagine Nations Church. There’s two concerts on both days; 4pm and 7pm with food and fun activities for kids before and after each session. Tickets are $5 each, bookings essential and all proceeds will be donated to WestCare Community Services.
Carols on the Course 14 December 5 - 9pm
Emu Plains Sporting and Recreation Club hosts the annual Christmas on the Course event featuring a talented line-up of local singers, dancers and entertainers. Enjoy a spectacular fireworks display, jumping castle and special appearance by Santa. Sausage sizzle, glow sticks and wands for sale!
Carols in the Park 15 December 4.30pm - 9.30pm
Head to Blue Hills Oval in Glenmore Park for Carols in the Park and make sure you bring a picnic blanket, your family and friends and your joyful singing voice. There will be food trucks, jumping castles, and face painting fun as well as fantastic local entertainment, bar, glow products for sale, fireworks and more!
