Cables wake park 2You may have heard of Cables Wake Park or even seen it featured as the location of a one-on-one date on the most recent season of The Bachelor.  Now that summer is well and truly here, it’s time you experienced this world-class facility for yourself.

Cables Wake Park is known and loved by professional wakeboarders from across Australia and regularly used by them for training and events. But it’s also a family-friendly place where people of all ages and abilities can try this exhilarating sport, and enjoy many other aquatic activities.

If you’re keen to try wakeboarding or kneeboarding, the main lake is where you need to go. This lake has two full size cable systems that cater for every level of riding ability. The qualified and experienced coaches are on hand to guide you through the series of obstacles, rails, kickers and jumps or let’s face it- just to simply stay upright.

Everything you need (kneeboard, wakeboard, skis, helmet and vest) is included in the entry fee which is just $49 per adult and $44 per child (15 years and under). Riders must be aged over 10 years however kids as young as six can learn as part of the Kids Club each Saturday.

Aqua parkYounger kids who don’t want to miss any of the on-water action can head to the Aqua Park to enjoy the inflatable slides, runways, jumping pillows and obstacles all connected together and floating close to the shoreline. This super-fun inflatable playground is for kids aged over six years old. A 50 minute session is $20, or you can purchase a day pass for $45.

Spectators and toddlers don’t miss out on the fun either. There’s a cool kid’s playground and huge jumping pillow, a splash play zone and of course there’s the on-water action to provide everyone with hours of entertainment. Pack a picnic or purchase something delicious from the on-site café.

Make a day of it at Cables Wake Park this summer, you won’t be disappointed!
