All About Women live stream | 4 March | The Joan

Ahead of International Women’s Day (March 8), The Joan will be screening two hard hitting talks from Sydney’s All About Women festival. The talks, ‘Grabbing back: Women in the Age of Trump’ and ‘#Metoo: the making of a movement’, will be live streamed from the Opera House for local viewing. All About Women invites audiences to reflect on the past while imagining the future of feminism, and will feature commentary from Fran Lebowitz, Tarana Burke, Tracey Spicer and more.

Resin Art Workshop | 24 March | The Creative Fringe

Try your hand at resin art with this fun-filled workshop from Pretty Bird. Using dyes, pigments, powders and resin, you will learn to mix and apply colours to create your very own 50cm or 60cm round or hexagonal masterpiece. Hosted by the Creative Fringe, Resin Art is a great way to get your creative juices flowing, relax and have fun with like-minded creatives.

The Creative Fringe serves up another fantastic workshop this March inviting participants to learn the art of creating their own natural skincare products with Polly and Lu from Sage Cosmetics Coaching – experts in the natural health and cosmetics industry. In this workshop you will make 3 different natural skin care products to take home with you:

  • Face lotion with anti-ageing properties
  • Lip balm to soften and protect
  • Body butter perfect for smooth skin

You will also learn about the types of materials used and the best practice for product making at home.
