Sounds Fresh 5 - Migret and Brendan O’Reilly

Sounds Fresh Series - Fridays at The Joan

MIGRET 6pm

Migret is an indie-electronica band from Sydney, Australia, formed in 2019 by Argentinian-born couple Betsy and Fran. Their debut studio album, Un montón de casas, released independently in 2019, is now sold out. After touring Argentina and releasing a series of singles, the band is now building a home on wheels to explore Australia. Migret’s music blends intimate compositions with a delicate, emotive voice, creating atmospheric soundscapes of guitar delays, ambient synths, and minimalist programming.

BRENDAN O’REILLY 7pm

A guitarist and singer with a rich musical journey across pop, rock, blues, and jazz, Brendan O’Reilly has worked all over the world as a freelance musician and has written songs all his life. He has toured the world, composed for TV, and collaborated with renowned artists. Brendan’s songwriting blends diverse influences from classic pop and rock to traditional Irish and gypsy music. Passionate about languages and cultures, his background deeply shapes his music. Recently moving to the Blue Mountains, Brendan started a band with CJ Stranger (Guitar), Tim Watts (Bass) and Osama Moustafa (Drums). The group are an exciting original band which has previously performed at Springwood Festival, Hotel Etico and Bootlegger Katoomba, and are planning to record and tour from March 2025.
