Australia’s best Olympic and Paralympic canoe sprint athletes as well as a strong contingent of international paddlers will come  to contest the 2019 Canoe Sprint Grand Prix 2.

Just over one and half years out from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Australia’s sprint paddlers will have their final hit-out on home waters before national team selections in March to decide the team to contest the Olympic and Paralympic qualifying season.

Olympic champion and Rio 2016 bronze medallist Kenny Wallace, Olympic champion and New South Wales local Stewart Murray as well as Paralympic champion Curtis McGrath will spearhead the event that also includes multiple Olympians from overseas, including amongst others Great Britain and France.

The event also features Australia’s up and coming canoe sprint paddlers with under 16, under 18, and under 23 paddlers from all around Australia coming to Penrith.
