Paddle Australia Canoe Sprint Championships
Australia’s best Olympic and Paralympic canoe sprint athletes will be vying for national titles and national team selection at Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith from 11-15 March at the 2020 Paddle Australia Canoe Sprint Championships.
Just five months out from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the national championships will be the final decider to determine Australia’s Tokyo 2020 canoe sprint teams with anyone who is vying for Olympic and Paralympic selection to contest the event.
Olympic champion and Rio 2016 bronze medallist Kenny Wallace, Rio Olympic bronze medallist and New South Wales local Lachlan Tame as well as Paralympic champion Curtis McGrath will be spearheading the event which will also be the final regatta on home waters for Australia’s top paddlers before the Tokyo 2020 Games.
The event also features Australia’s up and coming canoe sprint paddlers with under 16, under 18, and under 23 paddlers from all around Australia coming to Penrith to vie for national titles and national team selection.
