Loom Weaving Workshop

Sky teaches using her own designed weaving tools and provides an array of carefully chosen and curated materials beyond just yarn (perfect for pure creative expression!).

In this three hour beginner’s workshop Sky will help you unleash your inner designer, and show you super easy techniques to create a fabulous woven masterpiece.

Sky will show you both a technical and innovate approach to weaving allowing for true individual creative expression. The techniques you will learn can be taken away and applied again and again using your take home loom.

Sky Carter is a Sydney based fibre artist who has spent most of her life experimenting, exploring and dabbling with various creative mediums. Sky says; “I never really knew what I wanted to be when I grew up and I spent a lot of time trying different things, I was a bit lost and I always seem to be searching for the next evolution point”. She recently found her passion in free-form weaving which she now pursues full-time at her studio in the May Street Artist Studios, a thriving artist community.
