Originating in 2005 to humble beginnings, the Sydney Comedy Festival has become Sydney’s largest annual comedy event. Every April and May, hundreds of the best comedians from Australia and beyond take to stages across Sydney for a massive month of comedy, followed by a national Showcase Tour from May to December.

Roar with laughter at some of Australia’s finest and funniest acts, the biggest international stars and the most promising emerging talent offering up everything from stand up to sketch, satire, impro, musical, absurdist, theatre, and magic right here in Penrith, at The Joan.
