Penrith Ice Palace
At Penrith Ice Palace you can feel the cold air on your face and the ice beneath your toes at any time of the year.
Penrith Ice Palace has state of the art facilities including an Olympic sized ice rink and offers general public skating sessions, figure skating clubs and lessons, children's birthday parties, synchronised figure skating and learn-to-skate programs.
Ice skating in Penrith is not only a great way to entertain and energise kids, it's also one of the best value activities in Western Sydney. Weekend sessions run for 2.5hrs for as little as $20 for adults, $18 for children (5-17yrs) and just $10 for kids under 4yrs.
For those who are just starting out on their ice-skating journey, Penguin Skate Aids are available to hire for just $15. These little creatures are pushed along the ice at a safe speed and are used to support and protect young skaters as they manoeuvre across the ice rink.
If you love the feeling of being on the ice but just can't manage the skates there's always Broomball. This popular sport is similar to ice hockey, but instead of wearing skates players wear special rubber-soled shoes and a ball is used instead of a puck.
The Sydney Bears call Penrith Ice Palace home, so you can also see Australian Ice Hockey League games which is the highest form of Ice Hockey in Australia.
