A taste of Germany in Penrith

If it’s comfort food you’re after, take a stroll down Riley Street and head on in to the newly opened Bavarian restaurant.
With a menu that boasts a huge selection of hearty and rustic dishes and a seemingly endless list of mouth-watering sides, you’re guaranteed to leave feeling satisfied and let’s face it, very full.
You’ll find all the German classics you know and love at this restaurant including schnitzels, sausages, and the good ol’ pork knuckle but there’s also a range of modern dishes which have been given a German twist including chicken wings, hot dogs and even burgers.
If you’re overwhelmed by the choice on offer (we don’t blame you!), we suggest you order the Bavarian Tasting Platter ($32.50) which has a bit of everything including Crispy Pork Belly, Sausages, Schnitzel, Sauerkraut Red Cabbage, Mash, Granny Smith Apple Compote and Bier Jus.
The award winning Sausage Platter ($31) gives you the opportunity to sample some of their most popular sausages including the Grilled Nürnberger, Wagyu Chilli Beef, Cheese Kransky, Sunday Night Roast, Frankfurter, Creamy Mash, Sauerkraut and Bier Jus.
You’ll have no problems washing down your meal with a refreshing drink as the Bavarian offers 17 beers on tap including imported favourites from Hofbrau, Stiegl, Paulaner, Franziskaner and Lowenbrau breweries and more than 10 exclusive craft beers by Urban Craft Brewing Co.
