Historical Festival & Open Day

Annual festival celebrating local history

Every year on the third Sunday in July, the Nepean District Historical Society holds an open day to celebrate important achievements in local early colonial history.

The NSW Corps of Marines will be at the festival and will be in charge of keeping law and order, helped by members of a Light Horse Regiment from Windsor. The Marines will have displays, drills and floggings of miscreants and re-enactments from the life and times of the early colony.

The festival will have activities for young and old - including the animal farm, pony rides, the old fashioned school room where they can write on slates, antique and classic car display, merry-go-round and jumping castle, plus plenty of market stalls, displays, live music and food will be available.

This years entertainment will include a live band & harmony choir.
