Alcohol Ink Usable Art Workshop

Create usable art!

Usable art has become very popular, and in this alcohol ink workshop you will learn how to apply alcohol ink to three dimensional items to create your own usable art. Whether you are new to alcohol ink work or have a bit of experience and would like some 'me time' and company to play and create. Those who have completed the Alcohol Ink Artwork may find this workshop easier, however it is not essential.

Therapeutic and fun you will soon find yourself obsessed with this art form and ready to provide all of your loved ones with beautiful handmade pieces as birthday or Christmas gifts. Using vibrant and colourful alcohol inks and ceramics you will unleash your inner creative.

All materials will be provided:
- mask
- gloves
- variety of alcohol ink colours
- isopropyl alcohol
- blowing equipment
- sealing spray
- 4 x white coffee cups
- 1 x white pot plant holder

At the end of the workshop, you will:
- have enjoyed a wonderful day out
- got your creative juices flowing
- learnt something new
- take home your original usable artworks
- information of all materials used

Class sizes will be limited to 10 participants and are suitable for older teenagers (16 years+) and adults. No previous experience is necessary. As chemicals are used in the form of inks, Isopropyl and fixatives, it is advisable that expectant mothers and anyone who has been, or may be affected by fumes to consider the risk. Participants may bring their own respirators or choose to use the disposable filtered masks available in class.
