Tins & Wood is the latest food offering to grace Penrith’s rapidly growing dining scene. Bringing a touch of Italy to the corner of Tindale and Woodriff streets (see what they did there?), Tins & Wood prides itself on sourcing the freshest local ingredients to create mouth-wateringly good Mediterranean and Italian dishes designed to share with family and friends!
Family is an important part of the Tins & Wood story. Owner, Fanio Cuttonaro, inherited the restaurateur gene from his father who ran a restaurant in the same location for 33 years.
“Penrith has been home for us our whole lives, and my father started his restaurant in the same location 33 years ago, I peeled my first potato there 32 years ago, My wife and I met there 10 years ago, so after Dad retired we couldn’t think of any other place to start our own little place with our 2 young kids Antonio and Olive.”
Besides their obvious affinity for good food and quality service, the idea for Tins & Woods came from the location of the restaurant on the corner of Tindale and Woodriff streets. Tins & Wood also pays homage to the craft beer (tins) sold and the soon-to-be-installed wood fire pizza oven!
Fanio and Siobahan are passionate foodies who focus on locally sourced, fresh, authentically Italian food, a nod to their heritage and love of all things hearty and satisfying; trust us no one is going home hungry after a meal at Tins & Wood.
“We are best known for our Pasta and pizza but also offer a lot of share options and main dishes. We want to be known for bringing back old school service with an inclusive environment, whether you're a young family, on your first date or celebrating a milestone birthday in one of our function rooms.”

“Our 4 hr braised Lamb shoulder is definitely a big hit and our handmade potato gnocchi is probably our most popular dish.”

Tins & Wood is open Tuesday to Sunday for Dinner 5:30pm – 9.00pm and Tuesday to Friday for Lunch 11:30am – 2.30pm.
