Positioned on the traditional lands of the Darug people, and once owned by wealthy landowner Samuel Terry and his wife Rebecca. Today Mountain View Reserve bushland and wetland is home to many species of wildlife, some are rare and unique to this area.
The reserve has a 1.8km easy grade track which you can walk or ride, the pram friendly track makes this a walk for the whole family. The loop takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on our long you pause to take in the magnificent view.
Take the time to explore this delightful pocket of nature, listen for the frogs and birds, and climb the hill to enjoy the view from the viewing platform overlooking the Penrith Lakes and the Blue Mountains. When walking along one of the reserve’s pathways you’ll likely see a range of birds, reptiles and frogs - and if you’re lucky you may even see a sugar glider!
