Make a splash with water sports for all ages

Jetpacking at the Regatta Centre

When heat hits this summer, make a splash in Penrith!

From poolside fun and thrill-a-minute attractions to gliding down the river, there’s plenty of ways to cool down in or on the water in our City.

Ripples Penrith and Ripples St Marys provide an oasis of cool water play for all ages and abilities. With indoor and outdoor pools, spa and sauna facilities and splash parks (St Marys currently closed, but opening again soon) there’s always something exciting happening at Ripples including their School Holiday Program

At Cables Aqua Park you can sit back and relax while the kids take on a giant water wonderland. Suitable for kids aged 6 and over, the Aqua Park is a series of inflatable slides, runways, jumping pillows and obstacles – all on the water! Plus, under 6s can enjoy the separate wet play area free of charge.

For the adrenaline junkies

Jet Pack Adventures gives flyers the chance to jetpack or hoverboard on the waters of Penrith Lakes. Enjoy the mountain views as you take off into the blue!

Cables Wake Park is the place to learn, practice and execute some killer wakeboard or knee board moves. With instructors on hand, you’re sure to get some air during your visit.

Penrith Whitewater Stadium will really get your heart racing and is the ultimate skill tester. Raft like a world champ (or get wet trying) as you race through the rapids with friends.

Relax and unwind Kayak 420x280

Hire a kayak or stand-up paddleboard from Horizon Line and feel any stress melt away as you glide down the beautiful Nepean River.

Of course, sometimes just being by the water is enough to calm the mind. The Great River Walk takes you on a 6.4km loop along the water’s edge and past some lovely options for lunch, including East Bank, The Log Cabin, Emu Hall and Café at Lewers, part of Penrith Regional Gallery – Home of the Lewers Bequest
