How to plan the perfect Valentine's Day

It is that time of year again - love is in the air and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner!

Our Visit Penrith love experts have compiled a list of helpful suggestions to guide you in the right direction and earn extra brownie points this Valentine’s Day.

1. Get outdoors Rock Lookout 1

Get your body moving and your blood pumping by starting off the day with a walk exploring the great outdoors! We suggest heading to the stunning Rock Lookout at Mulgoa to enjoy spectacular views of the Nepean River Gorge and Blue Mountains. Or you could head to the Nepean River and do the 7km Great River Walk, followed by a cheeky brunch and coffee at the Café at Lewers or The East Bank Nepean River Restaurants! We recommend booking any café's/ restaurants ahead of time.

Tips for extra brownie points – Take your brunch and coffee to go and set up a romantic picnic on the banks of the Nepean River at Tench Reserve.

2. Take your love to new heights

Step outside of your comfort zone and experience something new together to create a Valentine’s Day you both will not forget! The iFly Indoor Skydiving experience is the perfect way to conquer your fear of heights and get your adrenaline pumping. Inside a giant glass wind tunnel, you will be effortlessly lifted into flight on a cushion of air! Not ready for skydiving? Challenge yourselves at The Climbing Centre, by scaling to new heights on rock walls and climbing structures. Bookings essential

3. Book a romantic dinner Avli Blog DNSWcredit

Skip the meal prep and book a romantic dinner for two! Win some extra brownie points by booking a romance filled evening cruise on board The Nepean Belle. Be wined and dined with a three-course meal and gift on arrival! Alternatively, there are so many delicious options to choose from in Penrith including Sittanos, Avli, Lakeside Restaurant and more. We recommend booking any restaurants ahead of time.

Tips for extra brownie points – This is the perfect time to whip out the Valentine’s Day card and chocolates (you’re welcome for the reminder).

4. Stay the night

What's more romantic than a night away from the kids or even just the mess of your own home? After a love filled day, whisk your significant other away for the night at one of Penrith’s places to stay. Located in the heart of Western Sydney and at the foot of the Blue Mountains, Penrith has a range of hotels and accommodations to suit all budgets.

And lastly, our final tip to top off the perfect Valentine’s Day is to spoil your loved one with a gift or gift-voucher to one of Penrith’s many great attractions!
