How to plan the perfect Valentine's Day
The month of love is here and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner!
The love experts from Visit Penrith have some LOVE-ly suggestions to win you some serious brownie points from your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day. So grab your lover and prepare to whisk them off their feet in Penrith.
1. Get outdoors 
There is nothing quite like starting a summer day with your love exploring the great outdoors! Kick start Valentine’s Day with one of Penrith’s most popular walks, the Rock Lookout at Mulgoa (pictured) to enjoy stunning views of each other, and also of the Nepean River Gorge and Blue Mountains. If you are after a scenic walk that takes a little longer, Mountainview Reserve at Cranebrook is a 30-40 minute loop with a viewing platform overlooking Penrith Lakes and Blue Mountains.Or enjoy the 5km track around the competition lake at the Sydney International Regatta Centre or the 7km bridge to bridge walk at the Nepean River followed by a cheeky brunch and coffee at one of the Nepean River Restaurants.

2. Try something a little different together

Skip the meal prep (but not the flowers!) and book a romantic dinner for two! The hardest part is choosing where to take your Valentine as there are so many delicious places offering Valentine’s Day menus and specials including, but not limited to:
- The Orchard (pictured) has two options on offer for a 3 course set menu two locations on site... The Farmhouse and The Pavilion.
- Italian Street Kitchen will be offering a set Italian Valentines menu.
- Theos Rooftop Bar invites you to a roof top evening including a five course menu as the sun goes down.
- Lakeside Restaurant hosts a special Valentines 3 course meal.
- The Nepean Belle Paddle wheeler will be cruising the Nepean River as the sun sets on Valentines Day, book early to ensure your place aboard.
